Although Evrytania is located almost in the center of mainland Greece, the roads leading to it have only recently begun to be perfected, thus making it easier to connect it with the neighboring prefectures. Thus, although the main axis of access to it remains the national road Lamia - Karpenissi - Agrinio, the visitor can choose from a multitude of routes, depending on his interests and the place he is.

 

Through Lamia

Lamia - Lianokladi - Kastri - Makri - Makrakomi - Vitoli - Ptelea - Neohoraki - Ag. Georgios - Timfristos - Rachi Timfristos - Ag. Nikolaos- Karpenisi- Megalo Chorio.

Through Nafpaktos

Nafpaktos and east towards Kato Dafni - Achladokastro - Paliopyrgos - Platanos - Hani Lioliou - Arachova - Domnista - Krikello - Kokkalia - Rachi Tymfristou - Ag. Nikolaos- Karpenisi- Megalo Chorio.

(Length 120 km, good passability, dirt road 30 km, time 2:30 approx.)

 

Through Karditsa

Karditsa- Agiopigi- Zaimi- Kallifonio- Kedros- Loutra Smokovou- Loutropigi- Rentina- Rachi Sermitzeli- Fourna- Rachi Tymfristou- Ag. Nikolaos- Karpenisi- Megalo Chorio.

(Length 110 km, passability good, time approx. 2:45)

 

Via Agrinio and Arta

Via Agrinio - Taxiarchi - Kallithea - Lampyri - Poursos - Gavros - Megalo Chorio.

(Length 205 km, good passability, time approx. 3:45)
